Faux leather and fabric coatings
Jayflex™ plasticizers, Vistamaxx™ performance polymers and and hydrocarbon fluids used to make faux leather – an alternative to leather in consumer goods. Jayflex plasticizers are also used in fabric coatings.
Applications and benefits
Vistamaxx performance polymers from ExxonMobil Product Solutions are being used to produce a new, more leather-like feel than either PVC- or PU-based synthetic leathers.

Jayflex™ adipate plasticizers can be used as a primary plasticizer but, more typically, are used in blends with general-purpose phthalates to improve low temperature properties.
Jayflex™ DIDP plasticizer is one of the largest-volume general-purpose high-molecular-weight plasticizers for the wire and cable industry.
Jayflex™ DINP plasticizer is the largest-volume and preferred general-purpose high-molecular-weight plasticizer for PVC, providing the opportunity for cost savings with a good balance of properties.
Jayflex™ DIUP plasticizer is a high-molecular-weight plasticizer designed to provide good performance at high temperatures and good outdoor-weathering capabilities.
Jayflex™ DTDP plasticizer is the highest-molecular-weight phthalate plasticizer, providing greater performance at high temperatures. It is the preferred plasticizer for automotive cable applications and THHN/NMB electrical wire insulation.
Jayflex™ linear plasticizers are used to prepare a series of premium flexible PVC products, where the performance requirements cannot be met with branched plasticizers.
Jayflex™ trimellitate plasticizers are used in wire and cable applications that require resistance to very high temperatures over long durations, and in automobile interiors.
Dearomatized hydrocarbon solvents
Exxsol™ fluids maintain good solvency characteristics for a wide variety of applications.
Isopar™ solvents are high-purity synthetic isoparaffins with consistent and uniform quality, thanks to selected feedstocks and controlled manufacturing processes. They deliver the narrowest boiling ranges for hydrocarbon fluids.
