Exceed™ and Enable™ performance polymers for high-clarity lamination packaging films

Exceed and Enable performance polymers are ideal for tough packaging films featuring very high clarity. In addition, processors can co-extrude these films at very high throughput rates. Both resins are well suited for a wide variety of applications, enabling converters to find the best formulation to meet their particular needs.

High-clarity, high-throughput film
Using Exceed performance polymer in the outer layers and Enable performance polymer in the core of a three-layer co-extruded film structure allows converters to produce packaging films with:

  • Outstanding optical properties
  • Excellent mechanical properties
  • Outstanding sealing performance
  • Very high, consistent tear strength
  • High tensile strength and elongation
  • Increased output of up to 20%
  • Increased sustainability

By using Enable in the core layer there is no need to add LDPE resin, which can adversely affect the toughness and the strength of the film. These Exceed and Enable resin-based films are ideal for use in:

  • Lamination packaging
  • Bread bags

Lamination packaging film

Enable performance polymer in lamination packaging film provides easier extrusion with an opportunity for film-line output improvements, simplified operations through the elimination of LDPE and higher speed packaging-line performance due to improved heat sealing.

Enable performance polymer can replace C4LLDPE or HAO LLDPE/LDPE resin blends, delivering simplified operations with improved downstream packaging-line performance. Downgauging of C4LLDPE-based films can be achieved without compromising stiffness, puncture or tear strength. Lamination films formulated with Enable are suitable for a broad range of applications, including:

  • Frozen foods - potato products and vegetables
  • Dry foods - coffee, tea, pre-mixed beverages, confections and pet food
  • Greasy, oily foods - prepared meat, fish and cheese
  • Non-food items - detergents, fertilizer and insecticides
