Improve residential weather sealing performance with Santoprene™ TPVs
Residential glazing seals made from santoprene thermoplastic vulcanizates (TPVs) feature outstanding seal recovery and toughness for exceptionally low air and water infiltration ratings for the life of window and door systems.

Available in general purpose, UV and fire-retardant grades, Santoprene TPVs have been used worldwide for more than two decades for thousands of bulb seals and foamed profiles for residential window and door seal and glazing applications.

Resilient, long-lasting seals

  • Long-term sealability and shape retention, even at extreme temperatures
  • No cracking or crazing, even after millions of cycles of flexing at extreme temperatures (-51°C to 135°C / -60°F to 275°F)
  • Good UV light stability
  • Excellent ozone and chemical resistance

Design flexibility

  • Easily colored
  • Profile and parts heat weldable
  • Can be coextruded
  • Easy installation and assembly
  • Foamable (chemical and physical)
  • Can contribute to a reduction in overall waste in the manufacturing process as scrap produced during processing can be recycled

The excellent sealability of Santoprene TPVs residential glazing seals lead to high design pressure ratings for the American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA) air and water infiltration standards and low U-values for National Fenestration Rating Council (NNFC) test standards.
