Paxon™ HDPE

Paxon SP5504 HDPE ― for a paradigm shift in properties
Paxon™ SP5504 offers a paradigm shift in the properties associated with unimodal HDPE resins used in blow molding. Delivering a step-change in ESCR performance without compromising stiffness, impact, top load, or processability, it also offers opportunities to increase PCR content. Paxon™ SP5504 can be used as an ideal drop-in solution for unimodal HDPE or a replacement for bimodal HDPE to take household and industrial chemical (HIC) packaging to a new level of performance.

Benefits

  • Environmental Stress Crack Resistance (ESCR)

  • ExxonMobil Introduces New Paxon™ SP5504 HDPE, a Step-Change in Performance for Blow Molded Bottles and Containers

Paxon™ SP5504 offers excellent ESCR (Environmental Stress Cracking Resistance) without compromising stiffness, impact, or top load. It has a melt index and density similar to conventional unimodal HDPE for easy processing. An added bonus is that PCR (post-consumer recyclate) can be increased due to the better property balance of the virgin resin.
