Why tire pressure matters to EV cars - Exxpro™ 3563 - an interview with ExxonMobil

In general, drivers rarely measure tire pressure. Monitoring tire pressure in electric vehicles becomes even more critical because an EV battery weighs more than a battery used with a gas-powered vehicle. This additional weight creates increased rolling resistance because of greater friction between the road and the tire. Rolling resistance is critical to energy efficiency. What happens when rolling resistance increases? Higher energy consumption and decreased vehicle range. Learn more: https://www.exxonmobilchemical.com/en/products/butyl/electric-vehicle-butyl-campaign
