A copolymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate, Escorene Ultra EVA copolymer resins offer toughness, good optical and sealing properties and low gel. Faster processing is achievable on newer bottling lines by using a grade with higher VA content, due to their lower cycle time.

Additional features of Escorene Ultra EVA copolymer resins that benefit compounding include:

  • Consistent rheology/MI (melt index)
  • Consistent elongational viscosity
  • Low crystallization point
  • High filler acceptance

Rheology and elongational viscosity are extremely important for conversion. Optimal performance can be achieved by blending Escorene Ultra EVA copolymer resins with different MI. 

Caps and seals using Escorene Ultra EVA copolymer resins offer optimal torque resistance and enable products to be shipped greater distances, and have a longer shelf life.  They also enable reuse of bottles, thanks to good molding with the bottle rim and better closure performance.
