Escor™ ethylene acrylic acid (EAA) copolymer resins are used in many extrusion coating applications due to their bonding properties to a variety of materials such as aluminum, metalized OPP and metalized PET film substrates combined with their ability to co-extrude well with polyethylenes.

In carton-based aseptic packaging for liquids, the key goal is to protect the liquid from the environment and maintain its intended characteristics for the entire product lifecycle. Packaging integrity will depend initially on the adhesion obtained between each layer of a multilayer composite, as well as the sealing and on the evolution of adhesion during shelf life.

Escor EAA copolymer resins are characterized by very good adhesion to polar substrates. Compared to homopolymers, their ability to maintain these properties when used to pack aggressive, spicy or alcohol products is testimony to their widespread use in the packaging industry.
