Santoprene™ thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs) have the electrical and mechanical performance of thermoset rubber and are a good option for many consumer wire and cable applications. Ready-to-use, Santoprene TPEs are easy to process and easy to color.

In consumer wire and cable, Santoprene TPEs offer:

  • Excellent flexibility and feel suitable for household appliance and personal electronics use
  • Strong performance in extreme temperatures with a service rated range from -60°C to 105°C (-76°F to 221°F) for wire and cable applications per UL QMTT2.E86313
  • High-use durability with good resistance to flex fatigue and staining

Santoprene TPE grades help you to reduce risks and lower costs of application development through compliance with local regulations and standards including UL, RoHS, and WEEE.

Vistamaxx™ propylene-based elastomers partner well in polyolefin blends and are a good option for highly flexible electrical applications with halogen-free requirements. Exact™ plastomers can be used to lower the cost of EPDM and improve flexibility of cross-linked polyethylene compounds. They also blend well with ethylene vinyl acetate for flexible, halogen-free formulations.
