The ability of Vistamaxx polymers to adhere to different substrates can provide enhanced bond strength. This can help when it is used in extrusion coating of polypropylene (PP) woven and nonwoven fabrics, and extrusion lamination of PP fabrics with different substrates like polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and paper. In extrusion coated and laminated PP woven sacks, this excellent adhesion can eliminate the need for the pre-treatment of woven sacks. In packaging applications, such as extrusion laminated flexible packaging film, this adhesion quality can deliver excellent packaging reliability and integrity, helping food products to maintain freshness, taste, aroma and appearance. Low viscosity Vistamaxx polymers enable the formulation of high-performance, low odor, minimal color, low density hot melt adhesives used in packaging, hygiene and assembly applications.



Vistamaxx polymers can be a very efficient and cost-effective cling agent for cast stretch films used as hand, machine or power pre-stretch pallet wrap. They are also well suited for blown stretch packaging films as it can allow the cling levels to be adjusted to meet the needs of the application. The cling properties of Vistamaxx polymers can also be used for surface protection films to temporarily safeguard a range of products from consumer electronics to construction sheets.



Due to its inherent elasticity, Vistamaxx polymers are an excellent elastic engine in elastic hygiene films, providing outstanding protection, comfort and fit. Their elastic properties can also provide enhanced stability and protection of pallet loads when used in coextruded stretch hood polyethylene (PE) films.



The sealing properties, including low seal initiation temperatures (SIT) and hot tack, of Vistamaxx polymers make it an excellent choice for the sealing layers in extrusion laminated flexible packaging film, cast polypropylene (cPP), biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) and heat-shrinkable display films  used in the packaging of food and non-food products. In extrusion coated and laminated PP woven sacks, Vistamaxx polymers can allow manufacturers to use seal extrusion rather than stitching to improve production efficiency. In extrusion coated woven and nonwoven industrial fabrics, the combination of excellent adhesion, high bond strength and elasticity can help deliver excellent sealability.



Vistamaxx polymers can provide an outstanding combination of soft touch, drape and mechanical properties to elastic hygiene films laminated with PP nonwoven fabrics. This softness can also result in quiet, discrete articles for personal hygiene. The softness of PP spunbound fabric can be improved while maintaining tensile strength. Vistamaxx polymers can also be used to soften cast PP and PE structures and improve stress crack resistance.



Vistamaxx polymers can deliver outstanding tear and puncture resistance, making it ideal for a range of films, including heat-shrinkable display, BOPP, stretch hood, cPP, extrusion laminated flexible packaging and high density polyethylene (HDPE) shopping bags. They can also help improve the tenacity of PP raffia tapes for less breakage in woven bags and flexible intermediate bulk containers (FIBC). In extrusion coated woven and nonwoven industrial fabrics, Vistamaxx polymers can result in thinner yet more durable fabrics. When used in the functional layer of cast power pre-stretch films, Vistamaxx polymers provide outstanding tear propagation resistance, holding force and ultimate stretch, even at thin gauge. 



Vistamaxx polymers can deliver excellent optical properties, such as low haze and gels, for “see-through” packaging films. This makes it well suited for retail packaging film applications such as BOPP, cPP, and stretch hood films used for pallet consolidation. They are also an excellent choice for heat-shrinkable display packaging films and surface protection films used to temporarily safeguard a range of products from consumer electronics to construction sheet.
