Santoprene thermoplastic vulcanizate (TPV) bonding grades provide electronics manufacturers with performance/processing options and compliance with regulatory standards to promote innovation and rapid new product development.
Variety of bonding options
Leading electronics manufacturers use Santoprene TPVs in seals, gaskets, connectors, grips and other components in products ranging from cell phones and printers to speakers and remote controls. Santoprene TPV bonding grades B100 and B150 excel at overmolding onto engineered thermoplastics such as PC, ABS, PS, PET and blends, nylon, ExxonMobil™ polypropylene and a variety of other materials.
Precision parts and design flexibility
Product designers gain design flexibility through soft-touch feel, texture matching and excellent colorability, even with pastel and fluorescent colors. In addition, wide temperature stability (-60°C to 135°C / -75°F to 275°F) and excellent chemical, weather and shock protection enable engineers to develop precision parts that encourage product innovation.
Santoprene TPV is easy to process, recyclable and accommodates fast molding cycle times and parts consolidation. Fire-retardant UL certifications help accelerate product development and time to market.
Vistamaxx™ propylene-based elastomers partner well in polyolefin blends and are a good option for highly flexible electrical applications with halogen-free requirements. They also help improve films used to protect surfaces of portable computers, cell phones and other electronics.
