ExxonMobil Chemical also offers an extensive grade slate of high molecular weight (HMW) HDPE resins that are used in a variety of bimodal film applications including institutional and container can liners, grocery sacks and merchandise bags. As industry continues to reduce material costs through downgauging, there has been a need to compensate with stiffer products. Availability of very thin stiff film has also helped penetrate traditional paper products used to wrap meat and produce. The range of high molecular weight (HMW) HDPE resins has been designed for easy extrusion and is ideal for a wide variety of applications. ExxonMobil HDPE grades are often blended with Exceed™ mLLDPE or conventional LLDPE grades to enhance stiffness for improved conversion performance and reduced thickness.

In addition, broad molecular weight (BMW) HDPE resins are used for a variety of blow molding and rotational molding applications.

Paxon™ HDPE resins are used for blow molded or extruded applications for liquid food containers, automotive fuel tanks and large volume drums. They are also used in thermoforming applications and for rotational molding applications, such as vessels and tanks.
