LDPE has been one of the most useful and versatile polyolefins ever produced. Both autoclave and tubular high-pressure technology offer an excellent combination of low manufacturing costs and product performance, which makes LDPE a key ingredient in thousands of applications.
The flexibility of ExxonMobil Chemical's LDPE technology enables us to produce an extensive grade slate. These grades produce a variety of film with different levels of strength, stretch, clarity and puncture resistance, from shrink film for pallets to overwrap for tissues, food packaging and industrial bags. Comprehensive LDPE products range from homopolymers, low VA copolymers and medium density PE, with grade slates constantly expanding to accommodate new product applications. Vinyl acetate is introduced into the polyethylene molecule to modify sealing, low temperature impact and adhesion characteristics.
ExxonMobil Chemical also licenses its high pressure LDPE technology worldwide.
