Jayflex plasticizers

Technical Information
Automotive

Jayflex DINP and Jayflex DIDP  are preferred when a good balance between permanence, low temperature performance and processability are required. These plasticizers are often used in plastisols compounded for rotational molding when processing and performance characteristics are of key concern.

ExxonMobil Chemical's linear plasticizers: Jayflex L9P, Jayflex L911P, and Jayflex L11P are used for speciality applications requiring additional low temperature flexibility.

Although plasticizers are by far not the major contributor to fogging, the right choice of plasticizer will help to reduce the total amount of fogging.

Where additional permanence is required, Jayflex L911P and Jayflex L11P plasticizers are preferred. The additional permanence can reduce common problems such as window fog and cracking dashboards. In these applications, the value added helps offset the inherent higher cost of linear plasticizers.

Blends of branched and linear Jayflex plasticizers are often utilized to reduce costs while still meeting performance requirements.

Rotomolded powder technology, the state-of-the-art manufacturing process for automotive interior parts, requires delicately balanced processing and finished product properties.

To meet the automotive industry's continuing demand to lower costs, customized blends of branched and linear Jayflex plasticizers have been successfully developed and are used extensively for these applications.
