There has been significant growth recently in the A4-copy paper market. For professional and private use, people are making more and more copies on high quality and/or coloured paper.
To achieve better presentation of the paper and to differentiate from competition, several paper-ream producers have started to use OPP as the preferred packaging material. One of the packaging films often used for this application is the two side acrylic coated film MB666 from ExxonMobil.
Their transparency, gloss and stiffness encourage the paper ream industry to chose these above other plastic materials.
MB666 can be used in single web applications and is available in gauges 52 & 60 micron.
52 & 60MB666 benefit from improved sealability at low jaw pressure in combination with good hot tack, seal strengths and stable surface properties and give a consistent high quality performance on all common paper ream products.
The OPP film protects the paper against the uptake of moisture, dirt and grease. The exceptional tear and puncture resistance also provides physical protection for the paper during distribution and merchandising.
The acrylic coating is also a perfect printing surface for different kind of printing technologies. It also gives good adhesion to different kinds of hot-melt glues and Pressure Sensitive Adhesive labels.
