The Exxelor range of modifiers is based on functionalized elastomeric and polyolefinic polymers produced through reactive extrusion. The choice of backbones ranges from amorphous to crystalline and is supported by ExxonMobil Chemical's world-scale manufacturing and technology capabilities in the field of polymers.
Technical polymers such as engineering thermoplastics, specialty polyolefins and alloys are fast replacing alternative materials. Their use is being extended to an ever-increasing list of applications, bringing new technical challenges. Exact Plastomers are a new family of polyolefins that "bridge the gap" between elastomers and conventional plastics like polyethylene.
