1985

Vistalon elastomer business starts up a semi-works unit at Notre Dame de Gravenchon, France.


1986

ExxonMobil Chemical starts up its EP reactive extrusion plant in Cologne, Germany, producing modifiers for technical polymers and commercialized under the Exxelor trade name.


1987

ExxonMobil Chemical brings on-stream its commercial capability to tailor EPDM molecular weight distribution.


1988

ExxonMobil Chemical commercializes tailored molecular weight distribution EPDM at its Notre Dame de Gravenchon plant.

ExxonMobil Chemical starts production of EP(D)M in South Korea via joint venture plant.


1989
The Notre Dame de Gravenchon, France and Baton Rouge, Louisiana plants receive ISO 9002 certification.
