Improved tire durability and lower fuel consumption from innovative specialty elastomers technology.
DVA technology based on ExxonMobil Chemical's Exxpro Specialty Elastomers combines the flexibility and elasticity of a rubber with low air permeability of a plastic.
This tire inner liner technology is based on applying an inner liner 'film' sleeve over a tire building drum. The outstanding impermeability enables the inner liner to be an exceptionally thin film yielding a significant reduction in the total weight of the tire. Unique Attributes:
- Enables tire light-weighting, improves durability, and reduces raw material usage in light and medium/heavy vehicle tires.
- Exhibits superior permeability, temperature and weathering resistance to butyl rubbers as compared to conventional tires made with halobutyl. DVA permeability is at least 5 times lower than halobutyl.
