The Baytown Technology & Engineering
Complex (BTEC) is ExxonMobil Chemical's primary global research and
development, technology and engineering center, located within the greater
ExxonMobil Baytown complex on some 66 acres. BTEC is home to scientists,
engineers and technicians who support ExxonMobil Chemical's product lines such
as Olefins, which include ethylene and propylene; Aromatics, including
toluene, xylene and paraxylene; Intermediates such as hydrocarbon and
oxygenated fluids; and Polymers, such as polyethylene, polypropylene and
elastomers and adhesion products.
