Summary of South Coast Air Quality Management District Action on VOC Content in Architectural Coatings
Background On May 14, 1999, the South Coast Air Quality Management District approved amendments to Rule 1113: Architectural Coatings. These amendments set requirements, beyond those imposed by other federal or state regulation, for reduced VOC levels in several coatings categories. Additionally, the District approved research to assess the technical feasibility for selected categories to move to zero-VOC content.
