| | Hydrocarbon fluid (HC Fluid) miscibility with methanol and ethanol is often very limited but sometimes can be improved with the addition of a miscible co-fluid such as isopropyl alcohol (IPA). Furthermore, while hydrocarbon fluids may be miscible with these alcohols in specific proportions at ambient temperature, they become less miscible at lower temperatures. This is true with hydrocarbon fluid -- acetone blends and can become a serious problem when products containing temperature sensitive blends are stored or used during the winter in unheated areas.
