ExxonMobil™ impact copolymer (ICP) polypropylene (PP) resins can improve the durability and appearance of small appliances while reducing costs compared to metal and acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS). They also offer varying melt flow rates (MFR), feature good gloss and have high thermal stability. For applications that require excellent surface stiffness, ExxonMobil ICP PP resins can also be used as a compounding basestock.

Vacuums and fans
Our neat ICP PP resin grades are well-suited for parts that are subjected to high impact. They can offer lower density and part weight compared to other engineering plastics. Used in a range of parts for vacuum cleaners and fans, ExxonMobil ICP PP resins meet the needs of consumers for lighter appliances.

Small kitchen and personal appliances
For small kitchen appliances, the properties of ExxonMobil ICP PP resins are enhanced through compounding to give high temperature resistance, high scratch resistance and stiffness, and flame retardancy. The compounded PP using ExxonMobil ICP PP resin as a compounding basestock can be used in high-temperature applications, including microwave ovens, rice cookers, electric irons and kettles.
