Santoprene™ thermoplastic elastomers provide excellent flexibility for ease of installation of industrial wire and cable

Coiled orange, low voltage, flexible industrial extension cord being held at man's side leading to an expermental electric car

Santoprene thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs) offer the performance of traditional thermoset rubber and are well suited for low-voltage industrial cable applications that include insulation and jacketing as well as electrical connectors.

Ready-to-use grades of Santoprene TPE offer:

  • Excellent flexibility for ease of installation in tight or winding pathways
  • Strong performance in heat and cold with no tackiness or cracking, with a rated service temperature range from -60°C to 105°C (-76°F to 221°F) for wire and cable per UL file QMTT2.E86313
  • Durability in harsh environments with resistance to chemicals, ultraviolet light, ozone and aqueous solutions

Santoprene TPE grades comply with standards that include UL, RoHS and WEEE, reducing the risks and lowering the costs of application development. In addition, Santoprene TPEs offer excellent thermoplastic processing on standard cable equipment.
