Adhesives formulated with Escorez™ 5300 tackifiers are compatible with a broad selection of polymers, including ethylene vinyl acetate, styrenic block copolymers (SIS, SBS, SEBS), metallocene polyolefins and polyalphaolefins. They help maintain the integrity and appearance of the nonwoven fabrics, plastic films and elastic substrates commonly used in the construction of disposable goods.

In applications requiring water whiteness and maximum stability, Escorez 5300 resins contribute to:

  • Excellent color, long-term clarity and low odor preferred in personal care consumer products
  • Outstanding material bonding; leak prevention and stable absorbent core in diapers, feminine hygiene items and similar products
  • Manufacturing flexibility, allowing the same resin to be used on repositionable pressure sensitive tapes that are critical to the production of many nonwoven products

Nonwoven applications that use Escorez tackifiers include:

  • Baby diapers
  • Training pants
  • Feminine hygiene pads
  • Adult incontinence products

Looking for an aromatic-modified alternative? Escorez 5600 resins support a broad formulation range and the potential for product tuning in disposable adhesive formulations based on styrene isoprene block (SIS) copolymers and styrene butadiene block (SBS) copolymers.
