Voluntary programs

We participate in a variety of voluntary regulatory initiatives through international and national chemical industry groups.

In addition to the Global Product Strategy of the International Council of Chemical Associations (ICCA), examples include the ICCA Global Chemicals Management Policy and Long-Range Research Initiative (LRI) and the High Production Volume (HPV) chemical testing program of the Organization for Economic Cooperation & Development and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

The LRI looks into the potential impact of chemicals on human and wildlife populations and the environment. The HPV program seeks to increase the amount of available testing data on chemical hazards and to share this data with the public.
