Underhood and under car

Underhood & under-car

Santoprene™ TPVs are used in a range of underhood and under-car applications to deliver strong and durable sealing performance that is resistant to extreme temperatures, chemical exposure and harsh environments.

Santoprene TPV is a material of choice over conventional ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) and chloroprene rubber materials, reducing weight and total system costs while maintaining performance. It is ideal for air ducts, tubing, molded seals, grommets, suspension bellows, cable jacketing, plugs, bumpers and many other parts.

Santoprene TPVs can be processed with materials such as polypropylene using a variety of methods including one- or two-component injection molding, blow molding and extrusion molding. Its processing ease, low weight and excellent bonding properties give designers a high degree of flexibility while allowing manufacturers to consolidate system parts and reduce costs.
