Faux leather sheeting

Faux leather is produced to provide an alternative to animal hide. However, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) leather has been challenged by consumer preference and polyurethane (PU) leathers have also been faced with cost and performance concerns.

Vistamaxx™ 6102 propylene-based elastomer (PBE) used at 50 to 70% with random copolymer polypropylene (RCP) can deliver:

  • A halogen-free polyolefinic solution at a reasonable cost, with scrap that can be recycled within the manufacturing stream
  • Lower weight per square meter
  • Good mechanical performance
  • Easy processing on existing PVC compounding and calendering line
