Woven and nonwoven industrial fabrics

Vistamaxx™ propylene-based elastomer (PBE) can be used to simplify the construction of extrusion coated industrial fabrics as it helps create the potential for single-step manufacturing and the elimination of adhesive lamination and coextrusion.

Vistamaxx PBE enables manufacturers of industrial fabrics to meet various challenges as it can be used to tailor the end-use properties of polypropylene (PP)- or polyethylene (PE)-based coatings, while meeting the needs of a range of applications.

The properties of Vistamaxx PBE include:

  • Low temperature sealing and seal strength
  • Excellent flexibility and elasticity
  • Toughness
  • High coefficient of friction (COF) for anti-skid properties
  • Adjustable water vapor transmission rates
  • Improved UV resistance compared with PP

The variety of applications that can benefit from Vistamaxx PBE include:

  • Construction textiles such as roof underlayment
  • Waterproofing and expansion tapes
  • Reinforced membranes used in architecture, construction covers, awnings, canopies and tarps
  • Insulation facings and foam boards
  • Automotive laminates
  • Industrial wrappings

Extrusion-coated woven and nonwoven industrial fabrics
Vistamaxx PBE can be used across a range of construction applications to achieve excellent adhesion to woven and nonwoven substrates, outstanding strength, flexibility and elasticity.
